About Anchor Point Consulting

Board members carry significant responsibility, yet many have never been trained for the role. Board consulting provides the education, perspective, and support needed to govern effectively, support leadership well, and protect the mission entrusted to them.

I have dedicated my career to serving in the nonprofit sector, leading organizations that strengthen communities and create opportunities for others. Throughout my work starting new organizations, rebuilding struggling ones, and helping nonprofits grow, I have seen firsthand how much the success of an organization depends on the strength and clarity of its board of directors.

My experience working closely with nonprofit boards has given me a deep understanding of the challenges small and growing organizations face — unclear roles, governance confusion, lack of structure, and difficulty moving from passion to sustainable growth. I created Anchor Point Consulting to help boards build the structure, discipline, and leadership practices they need to govern well, support their executive leaders, and guide their organizations with confidence and purpose.

Because I have spent my career inside nonprofits, not just advising from the outside, I understand the realities, pressures, and decisions boards and leaders face. I help boards not only learn governance best practices, but also build practical systems and habits that lead to stronger leadership, better decisions, and healthier organizations.
